Joe Corcoran is the Chief Operating Officer for Hitachi Vantara Federal. With over two decades of experience in operations and sales, Corcoran oversees Hitachi’s U.S. Federal services operations, its U.S.-based customer support, and the strategic growth of Hitachi’s services offerings in the Federal marketplace.
Corcoran joined Hitachi from Dorrean, a professional services firm serving the Federal Government’s justice, public safety, and intelligence needs. Prior to Dorrean, Corcoran spent 12 years at Govplace, a technology solutions provider to the Federal Government where he served as the Sr. Vice President for Service Delivery and expanded Govplace’s services capabilities, overseeing the delivery of more than 250 successful technology projects valued at $500M+. Prior to his time at Govplace Joe Corcoran served as a business development manager at IntelliDyne, LLC, a health, justice, and defense focused systems integrator, and as the senior defense analyst at Fedsources, a predecessor to Deltek Govwin. Corcoran holds a degree in Criminology with a minor in Public Relations from Virginia Tech, and has received several awards and recognitions including the Federal Computer Week (FCW) Rising Star Award and the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Division of Physical Security Management (DPSM) Highest Honor Service Award.
In his free time, Corcoran fundraises for and supports the Children’s Inn at NIH, a residential “place like home” for families with children, teens and young adults participating in leading-edge research at NIH. To date while leading sales efforts for charity events such as the Rock and Roll for Children’s annual benefit concert and various corporate charity events such as golf tournaments Corcoran has raised more than $1m for the Children’s Inn.
